The Red Wheelbarrow by William Carlos Williams

We have been studying poetry and William Carlos Williams. Today we read and analyzed the poem The Red Wheelbarrow. Students created images of what they imagined from the poem. Each student wrote their own poem in the style of Williams.

Surprise baby shower, watercolor lesson and robots

Wow! It was a busy afternoon. We had a surprise baby shower for Mrs.Holty at the start of literacy today. Several kids stayed in from recess and decorated. They made predictions about if the baby would be a boy or girl and when it will be born. She is due on the 16th of May.
As we prepare for our poetry project we are getting ready to do a watercolor picture . Today the kids had the chance to practice with many many different ways to use water color techniques. We ended the afternoon by having a visit from several former Brimhall students who are now in high school and on the Robotics team,
