Working with our prefixes

We are creating flash cards with our prefixes.

We selected high frequency prefixes, we will use these to help use define challenging words.

Once we understand the meaning of a prefix it can help us decode words we may not know.

We are excited about the upcoming author visit of Victoria Forester on Tuesday November 3.

Her most recent book is The Boy Who Knew Everything.

We will read aloud from her other book The Girl Who Could Fly.

Today a form is going home if they want to order books.

Infographic

We are using our Chrome books to work our Google Slide. Ms. Zbacnik taught us how to create an interesting and informative infographic.

Unity day on the playground

Today we celebrated unity day. We learned about building community and our new buddy benches ( thank you PTA). We wore orange or orange ribbons to celebrate unity.

Working on fall poems

Today we used the I pads and Little Birds Tales to create a recording of our fall poem reading.

Kids enjoyed taking pictures outside of their poems.

Infographic learning in library

Today in library we learnerd about what makes an infographic interesting. We learned about how to use font, color choices, and images to teach others about our artist.
